Executive Search

Great executive search is characterised by disciplined structured assessment of facts, combined with instincts that have been finely honed over many years that enable conversations around motivation, potential, culture fit and purpose. Most professionals can assess skills and experience. Very few can get past the head and into the heart of a person. Everything we do is about finding, supporting and advising the best talent on their careers. By serving this greater purpose first, we are subsequently able to connect those very rare and highly talented individuals with the best CEOs and CPOs. We believe that identifying suitable candidates for a specific role is only a small part of the challenge. While individuals may have the right experience, what’s also vital is to acquire a deep understanding of their underlying motivations and career aspirations. We know from years of experience, that a well-structured program of on-boarding ensures rapid integration and speed to productivity of your new hire. Depending on the complexity of each situation, we may recommend a variety of programs designed to ensure the fastest and smoothest transition.

 

Executive Coaching

All executive coaching services at BreslinLeCoic are carefully tailored to meet the unique needs of the individual leader and their organisation. Our highly experienced coaching team are experts in orienting individuals in unfamiliar leadership landscapes, guiding them onto the right development pathways, and ultimately, securing measurable behavioural change.

We regularly partner with leaders who are progressing into C-suite positions or stepping up to broader, more demanding divisional or international roles. These leaders are able to tap into our specialty domains of both Mentoring and Onboard coaching as required.

While timeframes and content are tailored to each individual, our standard programs usually span six months to a year with three-way (participant, direct manager & coach) sessions at kick-off and wrap-up. Coaching sessions are held regularly, usually for 2 hours per session.

Our practical coaching approach is about much more than increasing insight or awareness through feedback on various assessment tools. Practical principles that guide our coaching services are:

  • Recognising and optimising personal strengths

  • Revealing and appreciating how other people experience the leader

  • Exploring realistic solutions and removing potential barriers

  • Maintaining tight focus on practice, deployment and embedding of new skills and approaches

  • Striving for real, observable and sustainable leadership growth

 

Executive Leadership Development

Every successful executive has to earn the right to lead. You don’t “get” a leadership position; you display your ability to step up into it. However, some paths better prepare than others. Running a business and being the front line to the customer is about as good a path as there is, but many great leaders have come up through the functional areas of Finance, Marketing, Strategy, Legal and so on. Technology has risen in recent times and HR lagged. Why? Largely because HR has been the least mature of the functional areas, even struggling to consistently describe itself and its activities. Trapped in a reactive mode and unable to anticipate and therefore advise on strategy, it is the one area most in need of leadership development. This is why we have invested years in analysing and diagnosing this gap, then designing and building a program that helps to close it.

We are fortunate to be able to collaborate on this with the best leadership consultants in the country, or indeed anywhere in the world.

This has resulted in the world’s first Executive Leadership Program (ELP) for HR . The program combines a development stage (3 day residential) with 6-months of executive coaching. This invitation only program is currently being offered to select clients of the firm, with the intent to make it publicly available in the future.
